Revised and Add On Features

The gap between songs is significantly reduced from 2-3sec By reducing the gap between the songs, live music or medley songs will sound more properly.
Also mechenical noise between the songs have been reduced.

Improved anti-shock during the MP3 file loading.
Quick loading(Fast CD recognition) is implemented.
(Does not work for CD-R, CD-RW in packet writing format)

Volume control level is now 40 steps (from 0 to 40)

User defined EQ mode is added.

The following is the description of menu mode.

Menu mode works similar to NAVI(Navigation) mode. Keep pressing EQ/RESUME button will start the menu mode. Then,

General (General settings)====================

BEEP SOUND.
You can turn ON and OFF the beep sound. You can also change the volume level (1/2/3/4).
Please turn off the beep if you don't want it.

RESUME.
You can set resume ON or OFF.
If resume is ON, last used play mode will be preserved even after power off.

MP3 BUFFER.
Anti-shock buffer(MP3 BUFFER) can be set to 30sec or 60sec.
This applies only to MP3/WMA songs.
30sec option will force 30sec-120sec anti-shock buffer.
60sec option will force 60-120sec antishock buffer.
While 60sec options will be more shock-resistant, it will use more battery power.
Please use 30sec when you don't need anti-shock feature that much.

VOLUME STEP.
Volume step can be set to 40 or 20 steps.
Volume can be changed from 0 to 40 when '40'step is selected.
Volume can be changed from 0 to 20 when '20'step is selected.
However, the option only changes the number of steps, and does not change the max and min volume level.

-Display (Display settings)=========================

ADAPTOR LIGHT.
If Adapter light option is on, LCD backlight will stay on when adapter is used.
If adapter light option is off, LCD backlight will be turned on only when a button is pressed even when adapter is used.
Setting adpater light option to off will reduce power usage and increase the life of LCD backlight.
This option does not have any effect when batteries are used.

FILE EXT.
When FILE EXT is on, [MP3],[WMA],[CD],[ASF] will be displayed.
When FILE EXT is off, [MP3],[WMA],[CD],[ASF] will not be display.

TAG INFO.
When TAG INFO is on, tag infomation will be displayed if avaiable.
When TAG INFO is off, file name will be displayed.
Changing TAG INFO to off during play may not prevent from displaying the tag information of the already played songs and the songs automatically read into the buffer.

TIME INFO.
When REMAINING option is on, the remaining time will be displayed.
Remaining time of VBR encoded files may not be correctly displayed.
When NORMAL option is selected, the time elasped will be displayed.

TIMER (auto power off time setting)==================================
This option sets sleep timer.
Available options are OFF/10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80/90 min.
The machine will turn off automatically after the designated time.

STOP POWER OFF.
You can set 30sec/10min/20min/30min/40min/50min/60min for this option.
The is related to battery life, so please use the shortest time if possible.

CONTROL.
When FF/RW SCAN is on, long pressing NEXT/BACK button will perform fast search within the song.
Short pressing EXT/BACK button will let you skip to the next/previous song.
However, fast search with mp3 files will not be as smooth as in AudioCD player.
It also may not work properly with VBR mp3 files.
When FF/RW SCAN is off, long pressing NEXT/BACK button will perform fast search between songs.

RW/FW SKIP.
You can set +10/-10 or DIRECTORY.
When +10/-10 is selected, short press followed by long press of NEXT/BACK button will let you skip to the previous 10th song or the next 10th song.
When DIRECTORY is selected, You can skip to the previous/next directory by short+long pressing RW/FF.

FF/RW SPEED.
This option sets the fast search speed.
1X/2X/4X/6X
This option sets the speed in fast search feature or language study.

EQ BUTTON.
This option lets you use EQ Button as EQ/PROG/MODE/NAVI button.
When EQ/PROG/MODE/NAVI is selected, EQ button will work as EQ/PROG/MODE/NAVI button.

MODE(Play mode settings) ===================
This options can change/enable/disable the play mode available with mode button.

REPEAT 1
This will enable/disable repeat one song feature.

REPEAT DIR
This will enable/disable REPEAT DIR feature.
When REPEAT DIR option is on, the machine will stop when it finish playing all the songs in the current directory.

REPEAT DIR ALL
This will enable/disable REPEAT DIR ALL feature.
This feature will repeat songs in the current directories.

REPEAT ALL.
This feature will play through all songs in the current disk.

SHUFFLE.
Ramdomly play all the songs in the current disk.
Stops after all the songs are played.

SHUFFLE 1
Repeat the songs randomly selected.

SHUFFLE DIR ALL
Randomly play the songs in the current directory.

SHUFFLE ALL
Randomly plays songs from the current disk.

INTRO
Plays the first 10sec of each song.

INTRO HIGHLIGHT
Plays 10sec after 1min of each song.

USER DEF EQ (User defined EQ setting) ===================

BASS BOOST.
Bass boost level can be set from 0 to 12db.

BASS FREQ.
Bass boost frequency can be set to 50Hz, 100Hz, 200Hz.
Bass will be boosted under the frequency set in BASS FREQ up to the level set in the BASS BOOST option.
If BASS BOOST is set to 0, there will be no boost in Bass.

TREBLE BOOST.
Treble boost level can be set from 0 to 12dB.

TREBLE FREQ.
Treble boost frequency can be set to 2kHz, 4kHz, 7kHz.
Treble will be boosted above the frequency set in TREBLE FREQ up to the level set in the TREBLE BOOST option.
If TREBLE BOOST is set to 0, there will be no boost in Treble.

Features of V1.02s/sp

1. Support playing any file type (MP3, WMA, ASF ) with a playing time greater than 256 minutes.

2. MENU option added.

• By pressing the EQ button more than 1.5 sec, either in PLAY or STOP mode,
  to activate mode selection.
• SPEED SCAN / BEEP SOUND / EL BACKLIGHT / FILE EXTENSION DISPLAY / ID3 TAG DISPLAY
• Select between each mode by pressing FF or RW button in joggle switch.

1. Beep sound ON/OFF (Toggle Mode controlled with EQ button) effect for both main set and remote player. 4 types of beep sound supported to distinguish the key control.

2. Full directory tree hierarchy supported in directory navigation.

3. Recognizes maximum 999 ( currently 255) tracks on a CD. Track numbers over 256 will be displayed using display area of minute and second. With track number display shown as "000". EX: Track 876 ==> 000 08:76.

4. Revised shuffle mode. When in shuffle, player used to play the most commonly selected songs. To prevent this, we have implemented a history management function to activate real random play, regardless if power is on or off. Pressing the 'BREW' button will shift to previous song.

5. Revised to recognize the files with extension (mp3, ma) in mixed capitalization. EX: .Mp3, .Mp3, .AMA , .AMA can be recognized.

6. Revised the sorting order of tracks. Sort in alphabetical order neglecting the capitalization. Previously, capitalized letters had a priority in sorting order.

7. Revised intermittent upgrade failures with upgrade disks burned in packet write mode.

8. Revised the error of not supporting 'REPEAT' 1 mode with WMA format.

9. Revised to recognize disks burned in Multiple Extents Format.

10. Revised the problem of initializing the disk (player keeps returning to 'LOADING' status) when playing the specific corrupted MP3 file.

11. Revised the key operation bug. Key functioned as volume+ while pressing volume - in NAVI mode.

12. Revised the bug of "cheek" noise in the end of the song.

13. Support WMA low bitrate using new WMA CODEC. (In previous was from 32Kbps) Sampling rate (khz) : 8.0, 11.025, 16.0, 22.05, 32.0, 44.1 BIT RATE (kbps): 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 22, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 64, 80, 96, 128, 160, 192.

14. EL Backlight ON/OFF Mode (Controlled by EQ button).

15. Displays "Caution" message and skips tracks encoded in 48Khz - Improved VBR format readability. VBR not supporting XING Format to be played until codec decoding error detected. - Improved CD-RW disk readability for typical disks.

16. Solved the readability of Audio CD's copied to CD-RW disks.

17. Solved the problem of displaying song title and singer stuck together while playing ID TAG 3.

18. Improved the sound distortion during maximum volume and sound effect mode selected.
