Firmware version 1.05s series

*. Winamp M3U Play

-Create CD with *.MCU and related contents using Winamp in your PC.
-Put disk into the SOUL player and press "PLAY" button to power on.
-While in "STOP" mode press PROGRAM button to activate the directory with M3U file. The icon of "PL" will appear on the LCD indicating playlist mode is activated.
-Press "PLAY" or "STOP" button to navigate through the directory searching for M3U wanted.
-Next/Back scrolls each Sub-Menu 2.
-Press "FF" button to play Playlist mode in sequential order.
-Player can recognize maximum 20 playlists within a disk regardless of their location.

Menu

-Press down EQ/Resume button for more than 1.5 seconds will bring up Menu, then
-Sub-Menu 1 appears. General / Display / Timer / Control / User Defined EQ.
-Next/Back scrolls each Sub-Menu 1.
-Play button selects options in a Sub-Menu.
-Next/Back scrolls each Sub-Menu 2.
-Stop button ends Menu mode, or automatically escapes when 10 seconds elapsed.

General

-BEEP SOUND: ON, OFF, and Beep Volume Level in 1/2/3/4

-RESUME: When the player is powered off and powered back, all the settings of the player are memorized within the same file in a same CD disk while RESUME mode is ON..

-MP3 BUFFER: Default Anti-Shock Buffer (MP3 Buffer) is 30sec or 60 sec.
Applying only to play MP3 or WMA , Anti-Shock Buffer extends to 30~120 sec when 30 sec is selected and 60~120 sec when 60 sec is s elected.

-Volume Level: The level extended from 0 ~ 20 to
0 ~ 40, while the level of Max. and Min. are all the same.

Display

-Adapter Light: When ON, EL back light will
always be turned while external power adapter is used. When OFF, EL back light will react same as when using batteries.

-File Ext.: When ON, [MP3], [WMA], [CD], and [ASF] are displayed. When OFF, these are not displayed.

 

-Tag Information: When ON, ID3 tag information is displayed. When OFF, the file name is displayed. Changing TAG INFO to be off during the play may not work.

Timer

-Sleep Timer: When Sleep Time On, play time can be fixed per every 10 minutes from OFF to 90min. Player automatically powers off when it gets to fixed time.

-Stop Power Off: In a standstill, Stop Power Off can be fixed for 30sec/10/20/30/40/50/60 minutes.
Better fix it to shorter time as it is related with battery life.

Control

-FF/RW SCAN: FF/RW Scan supports for fast search by holding down the FF & RW buttons. 'Fast search' may not be as smooth as a normal CD due to the nature of the mp3 format. This is especially the case with VBR MP3 files.

-FF/RW SKIP: With +10/-10 on, pressing the FF & RW buttons long or short will let you move from the current position to next 10th position or the last song. When Directory is fixed and pressing down short/long, it moves to next / previous directory.
-FF/RW SPEED: 1x, 2x, 4x, 6x. This controls the speed when scanning through a track in forward or reverse. This option sets the speed in fast search for feature or useful in Study mode

-EQ: EQ Button can be used as EQ/PROG/MODE/NAVI Mode

MODE

-REPEAT 1: Repeat current song.

-REPEAT DIR: Repeat all songs in directory and stops when it plays all.

-REPEAT DIR ALL: Repeat all songs in directory continuously.

-REPEAT ALL: Repeat all songs on CD.

-SHUFFLE: Randomly play any song in the current CD.

-SHUFFLE 1: Repeat selected song or select a random song.

-SHUFFLE DIR: Shuffle/Repeat all songs in Directory and stops when it plays all.

-SHUFFLE DIR ALL: Shuffle/Repeat all songs in Directory continuously

-SHUFFLE ALL: Shuffle/Repeat all songs on CD.

-INTRO: Plays 10 seconds of each song.

-INTRO HIGHLIGHT: Plays 10seconds from the spot one minute played on each song.

USER DEF EQ

-BASS BOOST: Bass boost level is from 0 to 12db.

-BASS FREQ: Bass boost frequencies are 50Hz, 100Hz, and 200Hz.
If BASS BOOST is set to 0, there will be no boost effect in Bass.

-TREBLE BOOST: Treble boost level is from 0 to 12dB.

-TREBLE FREQ: Treble boost frequencies are 2kHz, 4kHz, and 7kHz. If TREBLE BOOST is set to 0, there will be no boost effect in Treble.
